Sir,

I am writing to express my anger and dismay at the proposed reform of the Senedd.

I have two objections. First, How can it be right that we do not vote for a specific candidate? People vote for an individual who they think will best represent their views and will be best placed to assist them when they are in trouble. If we are only voting for a party, how do we know exactly who is appointed to represent us? This flies in the face of everything democracy stands for and takes away any meaning from our votes. (Not that there is much meaning under the current dictatorship.)

Secondly, Wales is financially broken. Look at the services currently buckling under the strain of chronic underfunding. The NHS for example – a lady waited for 28 hours – 28 HOURS – in the back of an ambulance  because the system is falling apart. Surely the costs of introducing 36 new members of the Senedd would be better spent on almost anything else in this crippled country. It is nothing but a power grab, and I oppose it absolutely.

It must be stopped now.
